DAY THREE: Dersingham to Kirkstead Bridge

From Dersingham I headed south through the Sandringham Estate towards King's Lynn.

Now in The Fens, the terrain was very flat heading now towards the market town of Boston.
Boston

After Boston the route become what is known as the Water Rail Way. This consists of 20 miles of off-road path and 13 miles on country roads and much of its length follows the path of the now disused Boston to Lincoln railway along the banks of the River Witham.

At Langrick Bridge the route goes along some very flat and uninteresting roads through Holland Fen.

Mile after mile of fields full of healthy looking crops. Soon after I rejoined theWater Rail Way by the River Witham for a very pleasant and flat cycle to my the end of day three at Kirkstead Bridge and my overnight stop at Woodhall Spa.

Delicious meal at India Village, Woodhall Spa
